Tunisian Crescent Shawl | 2 part class | 5 hours

This is an in person class held at Baaad Rabbits in New West.

You need to be confident in working a Tunisian Simple Stitch to take this class.

Tunisian Crescent shawl will introduce you to some beautiful new textured stitches; Honeycomb and Lace patterns, as well as utilizing Tunisian Knit stitch and Reverse simple stitch. 

In the first class we will start the shawl, learning increases, the honeycomb stitch, how to count your rows and the Reverse simple stitch and knit stitch.

The second class will cover the lace pattern using Tunisian simple stitch 2 together, and the Tunisian Full stitch, then you will practice the alternative single crochet edging in pattern, and the additional crab stitch (crochet technique) for the edging.

This workshop will cover:

• Tunisian Honeycomb stitch (simple stitch & purl stitch)
• Reverse simple stitch
• Tunisian Knit Stitch
• Tunisian Full stitch
• Tss2Tog: Tunisian simple stitch two together
• Alternative single crochet edge in pattern
• Crab stitch 
• How to keep track of what row you are on, and how to read your fabric.

Materials required (not included):

• Yarn: 200g/ 600 meters of sport weight or 500m or DK weight yarn. Sample usings 3 x balls of Lang Merino 150 Degrade and 1 x ball of Lang Merino 150. 
• Pattern: Tunisian Quick Kite Shawl by Aklori Designs on Ravelry

• Hook: 6mm & 6.5mm Tunisian crochet hook (6mm for honeycomb and 6.5mm for lace) + tip adapter.
• 22" swivel cord + end stopper
• 5mm crochet hook for crab stitch.
• Split ring stitch markers and Locking stitch markers.

Make up classes are not available, if you miss a session, Rebecca will do her best to get you back on track. 

Credit for future classes will only be provided if we are notified either by phone or email at least 3 days in advance of the class or workshop, or a refund minus $15 administration fee. 

Please note - Baaad Rabbits is located in an old building with no insulation - if it is cold outside, the shop is also cold in the morning - please dress accordingly.
