Leeward Mitts | Crochet Cables | 3 hour workshop

You need to be confident in working a single crochet to take this class.

Leeward Mitts (Ravelry link) by Elena Fedotova is a beautiful cabled crochet design, and a great project to learn this dynamic design technique on.

Elena has designed multiple projects using this technique (all Ravelry links), there's a matching hat, a shawl, cowl and a sweater!

During the workshop we will work on the short left hand mitt, and work the cable pattern.

This class will cover:

• Foundation single crochet
• Extended Single crochet
• Joining Foundation single crochet
• Working the cable design

Homework.

Row 1:

• If you already know how to work a Foundation single crochet, work the first row as 31 fsc.
• If you don't know how to work a Foundation single crochet, chain 32 and starting in the 2nd chain from hook, work 31 single crochet.

Row 2 - 4: Chain1, 1 single crochet in Back Loop Only of each stitch to last stitch, 1 single crochet in last stitch. Turn. 31 sts

Materials required (not included):

• Yarn: Sport Weigh yarn. Sample uses  WildWestDye Silk/ merino sport weight. 
• Pattern: Leeward Mitts (Ravelry link) by Elena Fedotova
• Hook: Check your tension! Rebecca used a 3.75mm hook. Gauge is 20 stitches to 4 inches in single crochet through the back loop.
• Removable stitch markers: We recommend Split Ring for marking the beginning and end of row, and Locking stitch markers for marking the cables.

Make up classes are not available, if you miss a session, Rebecca will do her best to get you back on track. 

Credit for future classes will only be provided if we are notified either by phone or email at least 3 days in advance of the class or workshop, or a refund minus $15 administration fee.
