Fingerless gloves | Skill Builder class

You need to know how to knit and purl to take this class, this class is designed for people who have recently learnt to knit, or if you are looking to widen your skill set!

Over 4 weeks you will learn all the skills needed to make fingerless gloves (wristwarmers), all great transferable skills if your goal is to make a sweater!

During this class you will learn:

• How to knit in the round - choose from magic loop, DPN's (double pointed needles) or shorties (you will need dpn's or circulars to knit the thumb)
• Work Right and Left Lifted increases
• Places stitches on and off hold
• Pick up stitches
• Stretchy bind off techniques
• How to sew in your ends.

Included is the free Simpingo wristwarmer pattern by Rebecca Glazier, a DK weight pattern perfect for learning how to make socks.

Dates: 

• Thursday May 14th, 21st, 28th and June 4th, 6:30pm - 8pm
  
• Wednesday June 17th, 24th, July 8th and 15th (no class on 1st July!) 6:30pm - 8pm

Materials required (not included):

• 100g of any DK weight yarn 

• 3.5mm and 4mm (US 4 & 6) Double pointed needles, circular needles for magic loop, or Twist Shorties. 

• Darning needle.
• Stitch markers

Make up classes are not available, if you miss a session, Rebecca will do her best to get you back on track. Help & Assistance workshops are also available.

Credit for future classes or a refund minus $15 administration fee will only be provided if we are notified either by phone or email at least 3 days (72 hours) in advance of the class or workshop.

Please note - Baaad Rabbits is located in an old building with no insulation - if it is cold outside, the shop is also cold in the morning - please dress accordingly.
