Embroidery on Denim | 3 hour workshop

Previous experience helpful, either have taken the 101 workshop at Baaad Rabbits, or have previously dabbled in embroidery!

This is an in person workshop held at Baaad Rabbits in New West. 

There's nothing quite like stitching to turn your clothes into something unique, during this workshop we will finalize your embroidery design, discuss different stitches to be used, best practices for stitching on denim, and start working on your piece! 

Bring some design ideas/ images with you, once finalized this will be transferred onto the stabilizer sheet so we can start stitching! Rebecca will also have a copy of her pocket design that can be used too. 

Materials included:

• • 1 x Wash-Away Stabilizer sheet, 8 1/2" x 11"

Materials required: (not included)

• Denim to stitch on, either a jacket, shirt, jeans, bag, any denim you wish!
• Design ideas, or a Stick & Stitch pack from Nest or MCreativeJ.
• Chenille needles, available here.
• Embroidery scissors available here.
• Embroidery floss, either DMC or choose from the selection of Hand Dyed Lichen & Lace floss available in store.
• Optional: Needle threader
• Optional: Removable pen, white for dark denim, purple for lighter denim
• Optional: Hoop - definitely required for lighter weight denims, optional for heavier denims
• Optional: Flower Embroidery book (if you want to embroider flowers!)

Credit for future classes or a refund minus $15 administration fee will only be provided if we are notified either by phone or email at least 3 days (72 hours) in advance of the class or workshop.

Please note - Baaad Rabbits is located in an old building with no insulation - if it is cold outside, the shop is also cold in the morning - please dress accordingly.

Rebecca has been knitting since she was 7 years old and crocheting since she was 10! She has always had a love for textiles and colour. Teaching people how to knit and crochet expresses one of her greatest joys; sharing her creativity and passion with people.
