Double knitting | 3 hour workshop

INTERMEDIATE Previous experience in two hand knitting (one yarn from each hand) or have taken the workshop at Baaad Rabbits is beneficial.

This is an in person class held at Baaad Rabbits in New West.

Double knit is the art of creating a two layer knit fabric, whilst working 2 or more colours across a row a to create a mirror matched design (or even a non mirror matched design!)

In this workshop you will learn the modern technique of working two yarns across the row at the same time whilst creating a mirror match design. You can make the Butterfly design (Ravelry link) or you are welcome to bring another chart of your choice if you'd prefer to knit a different design. 

We will discuss how you can make your own charts so you can design your own double knit fabric.

Rebecca has started making 'Time of the Doctor' and will bring the WIP to the workshop.

You will also learn two colour cast on and bind off.

Materials required (not included):

• Yarn: Two colours of smooth worsted weight or DK yarn, 40m/ 45y/ 20g in a solid colour and high contrast.
  

• Needles: DPN's or circulars in two sizes smaller than recommended on the ball band.

Make up classes are not available, if you miss a session, Rebecca will do her best to get you back on track. 

Credit for future classes will only be provided if we are notified either by phone or email at least 3 days in advance of the class or workshop, or a refund minus $15 administration fee. 

Please note - Baaad Rabbits is located in an old building with no insulation - if it is cold outside, the shop is also cold in the morning - please dress accordingly.

We request you do not attend the class if you are feeling unwell, please note, partial class refund is not available, and the 72 hour cancellation policy applies.
