Tunisian Kite Shawl | 3 hour workshop

This is an in person class held at Baaad Rabbits in New West.

You need to be confident in working a Tunisian Simple Stitch to take this class.

Have you dabbled in Tunisian crochet, but not yet made your first shawl? Then this workshop is for you!

Kite Shawl by Aklori designs is a dynamic striped design, utilizing multiple stitches to create textured bias stripes. Visually interesting on both sides of the shawl, and requiring only 2 balls of DK. Use either two solids, or one solid and one variegated with a high contrast for visual pop! 

This workshop will cover:

• Tunisian Knit stitch
• Tunisian Purl stitch
• Increases and decrease
• Tunisian Simple & Edge stitch
• Slip stitch bind off
• Colour changes & carrying your yarn

We will start the shawl together, making sure you understand the pattern so you can complete at home.

Materials required (not included):

• Yarn: 1 x 100g/ 225m of each colour in DK weight yarn. Sample uses WildWestDye pure Merino and WildWestDye Merino/ Cashmere/ silk blend.
• Pattern: Tunisian Quick Kite Shawl by Aklori Designs on Ravelry

• Hook: 6mm Tunisian crochet hook Note: pattern calls for 6.5mm but Rebecca used 6mm and tip adapter.
• 14" swivel cord + end stopper
• Split ring stitch markers

Make up classes are not available, if you miss a session, Rebecca will do her best to get you back on track. 

Credit for future classes will only be provided if we are notified either by phone or email at least 3 days in advance of the class or workshop, or a refund minus $15 administration fee. 

Please note - Baaad Rabbits is located in an old building with no insulation - if it is cold outside, the shop is also cold in the morning - please dress accordingly.
