BEGINNER-INTERMEDIATE. You need to know how to double crochet confidently and count your stitches. If you haven't made a crochet top before, this class is for you!
Shiloh Tee (Ravelry link) by Emily Marie Davis is perfect for Summer and shoulder seasons! A beautiful textured piece which looks equally stunning in solids and variegated yarn.!
In this 3 part class we will make the top together and ensure it fits you how you like! We will discuss adjustments for body length and sleeve length - the beauty of making our own clothes is the ability to make them how we want them to be!
Classes include homework, with one and then a three week interval to ensure you can complete the homework and get the most from the class.
You will need to be comfortable with measuring your body in class.
In this 3 part class we will discuss/ learn and explore the following:
- Foundation half double crochet.
- Working the Triangle lace stitch
- How to turn your work and work in rounds and maintain correct stitch count.
- How to adjust the fit of a circular yoke top to your personal chest and bicep measurements.
Dates:
- Saturday June 14th, 21st and July 12th, 12pm - 2pm
- Saturday June 14th, 21st and July 12th, 2:30pm - 4:30pm
Materials required (not included):
Shiloh Tee (Ravelry link) pattern by Emily Marie Davis
Yarn: Check quantities are on Ravelry page, fingering weight yarn, sample shown made with Ancient Arts Little Nettle Soft.
Hook: 3.5mm - 4mm depending on personal gauge, we will be swatching together in the first class.
General notions: Removable stitch markers, tape measure, scissors, darning needle.
Class one: We will work the gauge swatch in pattern together, and learn the foundation half double crochet.
Homework: Block your swatch and cast on foundation half double crochet for the neckline.
Class two: Start the yoke, make sure you know how to work back and forth in the round without adding stitches, how to work the increases and increase the yoke to your personal measurements, and your upper torso length.
Homework: Complete the yoke.
Class three: We will try on the yoke together, make sure you are happy with the fit and chain on for the underarm. We will discuss body shaping.

Make up classes are not available, if you miss a session, Rebecca will do her best to get you back on track. Help & Assistance workshops are also available.
Credit for future classes or a refund minus $15 administration fee will only be provided if we are notified either by phone or email at least 3 days (72 hours) in advance of the class or workshop.
Please note - Baaad Rabbits is located in an old building with no insulation - if it is cold outside, the shop is also cold in the morning - please dress accordingly.
