Snowflake hexagon with spike stitch | 2.5 hr workshop

This is an in person class held at Baaad Rabbits in New West.

You need to be confident in working a double crochet to take this class, this is a great first sweater project.

Snowstorm Christmas Sweater by Samantha Sabido cleverly uses spike stitches to turn a star into a snowflake! You can either dive in to make a sweater or use your hexagons for bags and pillows!

In this workshop we will work a snowflake together, you will be able to practice how to join them together and Rebecca will share alternative sweater maps for additional sizes. We will measure your motif and calculate the size of your sweater.

This class will cover:

• Magic Ring
• False Stitch
• Standing Stitch
• Spike Stitch
• Sewing in ends and joining motifs.

Materials required (not included):

• Yarn: We recommend Estelle Highland Alpaca DK and optional Astra for sparkle, you could also use Twinkle or Stellaris. For a sweater you need aprox. 3 - 4 skeins for the snowflake, and 5 - 8 for the main, contact Rebecca for confirmation.
  
• Pattern: Christmas Snowstorm Jumper (sweater) by Samantha Sabido available on Ravelry.
• Hook: 4mm, go up or down one size if you are a tight/ loose crochet-er.
• Removable stitch markers

Make up classes are not available, if you miss a session, Rebecca will do her best to get you back on track. 

Credit for future classes will only be provided if we are notified either by phone or email at least 3 days in advance of the class or workshop, or a refund minus $15 administration fee. 

Please note - Baaad Rabbits is located in an old building with no insulation - if it is cold outside, the shop is also cold in the morning - please dress accordingly.
