Sunday Fundays!
July 21 2026 – Rebecca Glazier
Student appreciation, embroidery and more!
We've been having some fun weekends at Baaad Rabbits, last Sunday was the first Wet Felting workshop of the Summer.
This is a fun and friendly craft, pretty straightforward, and I love how different everyone's felt turns out.
It's a perfect way to use a beautiful art batt! I am sucker for buying pretty art batt pets, I don't spin, so felting is the way to go for me! I had a batt to felt and joined in with the fun, I think I'll do that at the next workshop too, it's a perfect time for me to make some felt as well!
I'm not quite sure what I'll do with my piece of felt yet, but I might embroider it first, we'll see.

The next Wet Felting workshop isn't until Saturday August 22nd, but we do have a spot which has opened up for the Naturally Dye A Rainbow workshop on Sunday 26th July of the Summer. I've been preparing the yarn this week, and this workshop is going to be SO much fun too!

So proud of our students!
And speaking of classes, this week our Sweater students were trying on their yokes! They are all looking SO good, and they are doing so well!
We will be, of course, offering another sweater class this Fall, and if you'd like to get your skills prepared before then, we have the Fingerless Gloves class starting on Thursday August 6th at 6:30pm, a class specifically designed for you to learn the skills you need to make the sweater, or the Sock class which is a general skill builder starting on Tuesday July 28th.
And heads up, the word is out, there's a much awaited Cardigan class coming this Fall too!

Suzanne's embroidery
Suzanne popped in last week so we could see her stunning embroidered knitted top! It's just fabulous what you can do with a Lazy Daisy stitch!
And yes, we have our Embroidery 101 in August so you can dive into Lazy Daisy stitches too, or pick up the *stunning* Embroidery on Knits book by Laine if you know the basics and want to be inspired! The book includes templates for the designs featured.

On my hoop!
Progress on my lovely Llama! The 'blanket' is slowly coming along and I'm looking forward to stitching the Tassels. We'll be getting a Kiriki restock in a few weeks so I must get this fella done so I'm ready to start my next one when the order arrives!
