Off the felting table, on the needle & hook!

Nancy's been felting up a storm!

Nancy can't stop won't stop.. she's been felting up a storm these last few weeks, have you seen her beautiful bag and bowl we have in store that she's made? And last week, hot off her felting table was the beautiful Nuno Scarf in Gelato colour.

This is a fabulous kit for a gift for you, or someone you love whether you make if for them or not!!

On my needle & hook

My sparkle season sweater, Poppy Tee (Ravelry link) by PetiteKnit is coming along oh so nicely, I've started the ribbing, and for this I decided to add our 'tinsel' yarn, Astra by Lang.

I've used Astra as an add-in to crochet before which was fine, I must say, knitting with it is somewhat, exfoliating, but, where there's a will and all that. I love how it looks and the fabric feels fine to touch.

I'm going to knit Poppy Tee with short sleeves so it'll be ready to wear soon!

On my hook is Sweetheart Jersey (Ravelry link) by Nomad Stitches, this is the design we use for our Crochet a Sweater that fits class. I do like to make the sweaters for our sweater classes a few times, this helps me teach it better, and make sure I understand all the notes I've written myself the first time round! The Knit a sweater that fits sweater I've knit 6 times, various versions, different yarns, different increases, and added decoration! This Sweetheart I'm making it Anchor Bay and Make it Multicolor - I'm still on my first spool of Make it Multicolor, there's a whopping 750m on each one!

I've also been knitting up my second Maggie Cardigan, this one is getting zhuzhed up with colourwork, contast bind off and a Unicorn (Raverly link) on the back! I'll share my progress on this one next week.

Petit Lapin

The cream Petit Lapin is in the house, and a ball is also at my house!! As soon as it arrived I grabbed a ball, along with a couple of balls of Lang Merino + in Heavenly Cloud, popped it in my bag, and I CAN"T WAIT to cast on the hat!! I've planned to make one in Salmon Petit Lapin with Rose Gold Sweet Georgia Worsted, but I just can't resist one in cream too!

New in store: WildWestDye Bulky

Fall time means Bulky time! I've been busy at my dye pots and winding station with a fresh batch of Merino/ nylon bulky yarn. These extra juicy cakes have 125g/ 140m of yarn. I normally dye one or two batches every Fall and the first batch is now in store!

I've dyed up customer favourites; RainbowCloud & ForestFairy, and new colours for this base too; PixieBow, BerryBow, MapleAurora, StarryNight and BerryBonaza!

This is the yarn I use for the Toe-up sock class - aka cosy beddy socks, and it's a great yarn for all your bulky knits.
