Yarn Feature: Woolerton Estate Tweed & Suri

Match made in heaven
Woolerton Estate's The Engineer Tweed and Cousin Burley Suri is a match made in heaven! They work beautifully together held double as shown in the sweater above - Basic Raglan Pullover (Ravelry link) by Joji Locatelli in Arthur and Arthur or worked seperately below shown on Rock it Tee (Ravelry link) by Tanis Lavallee in Rita and Rita!
I really enjoyed making Rock it Tee and I'm tempted to make another one. I do find stripes very 'encouraging' when working stockinette in the body or sleeves. It's nice to see the progress a bit more obviously and it's always fun to change the yarn.
If you don't fancy stripes, lots of people have made Rock it Tee in one colour, or if you don't fancy Suri then two fingering yarns also work great (I think a solid and one of Okanagan's Zebra fingering skeins would look *fabulous*)
Some more ideas shown in Woolerton's yarn (all Ravelry links)
Westboro hat by Selma Incesulu made here in Winnie.
Bobble Cowl by Joji Locatelli made here in Bruce.
A three colour shawl, Ambershore by Inese Sang in George and Rita.
And this person paired an Engineer Tweed with a Make it Tweed! (go big or go home!) in Lemon Spritz by Marie Greene.
The make it in anything design, Ranunculus by Midori Hirose looks fabulous in Cousin Burley!
And this hood (I'm having a hood moment this Fall) Bonbec by Emilie Luis looks *fabulous* in Suri and Fingering!
Lily and Pine-a-thon!
My Lily-and-Pine-a-thon is in full swing!
On my needles is a marled / fade cardigan *loosely* based on Le Pouf (Ravelry link) by Beata Jezek. It's coming along nicely and I'm finding it hard to put down, I've just started adding in the 4th colour.
I'm marling a fade using 2 strands of fingering in colours; Surprise, Graffiti, Pink Champagne, Bubblegum and Lipstick.
Nearly off the needles is a sweater top based on Basic Raglan Pullover (Ravelry link) by Joji Locatelli with a different rib and increase pattern. Made with Lily and Pine's Sunflower DK in Peace and Love and Under the Sea.
And just started is a Pixelated pullover (without the pixels!) in Day Lily Papaya and Rico Essentials Neon Orange mohair.
Needless to say, I'm in heaven!
Make it yours Super Bulky
In last weeks newsletter I was ruminating about holding multiple fun things with our Eco Scandinavian Bulky, it didn't take long to work up a swatch and cast on a vest! It's loosely based on Both Sides Now Poncho (Ravelry link) by Amy Pond, I'm not making it as wide or as long.
I went with Crazy Paillettes in Powder, Make it Tweed Neon green, Rico Essentials Neon mohair in Pink and orange and an Okanagan Zebra fingering!
This week the rest of our 'add-in's' have been added to the website with the Metallic, Stellaris and Twinkle now up!
New Penguin kit in store!
When I saw Ricorumi's penguin design I fell in love! So so cute and I can't wait to make one, so of course I just had to make up some kits! They contain your yarn, a paper copy of the pattern and a pair of safety eyes.
