New in store: Hand Maiden Flyss & dive in to Tunisian Crochet!
March 10 2026 – Rebecca Glazier
Hand Maiden Flyss
Oh my, our new order of Hand Maiden has arrived, Flyss; the most stunning 65% silk/ 35% linen fingering weight yarn, 400m, $49.95. Currently only available in store.
Hand Maiden is Canadian dyed, and much loved at Baaad Rabbits, we have stocked their yarns since we opened on various bases. Hand Maiden was started on the West Coast in 2005, they quickly outgrew and returned to Nova Scotia to join their sister brand Fleece Artist. 'Born of complete and utter fibre addiction and a desire to share Swiss Mountain Silks and other exquisite fibres with the (yarn) community'
Flyss is a perfect yarn for shawls and Summer tops, if you're ready to get some Spring projects on your needle and hook, we've got you covered!

Dive in to Tunisian Crochet
I've been loving exploring Tunisian crochet and I'm so happy to have in the new book, Tunisian Crochet: Gorgeous Designs to wear. The book includes 17 designs, and I've got my eye on a few already! There's a stunning cami which combines crochet for flower motifs on the back, and Tunisian crochet for the front panel which I'm totally going to make in the new Hand Maiden Flyss!
Tunisian crochet is a great blend of knitting and crochet and there's a whole world of interesting stitches and designs to explore.
Here's some inspo, designs I've made, and designs I want to make!
