New in store from laceweight to Super Bulky!

You asked, we answered! Pure Cashmere is in the house! (or should I say hutch??)

Lang Yarns Cashmere Lace is a 4ply double-twisted pure cashmere of the best quality, and of course, we wouldn't expect anything less from Lang! Double-twisted means there are two sets of two ply yarns that have been twisted together for a 4ply, I haven't as yet knit with it, but you know I'm going to soon!

Lang have designed a beautiful wristwarmer/ fingerless gloves and scarf set with this yarn, all Ravelry links:

There's also a matching hat, PTO-060_04, this is in a DK weight, but I think if you paired the cashmere with a fluff it would work up so nicely, and I might just do that too!! It'll look so pretty paired with one from the Spray collection.

Next up, we're zooming over to Bulky, with Estelle's Highland Alpaca Chunky Tweed! 18 beautiful colours to choose from, this is the 'same' yarn as the new Highland Alpaca DK Tweed, but in a chunky!

I've got my eye on Pine, to maybe pair with PansyPassion, WildWestDye's Merino/Nylon Bulky to make a Nordic Bloom Vest by Caitlin Hunter.

It would also make a stunning Carp-Beth by Kate Davies.

And last, but not least is a new yarn from Estelle, Gemstone Merino! A soft single ply bulky weight yarn, and great for those quick knit or crochet gifts! I'm going to be whipping up a headband or two with these, and I've totally got my eye on Love Potion!

On the needles!

I've been making progress on my Gingham Fruit sweater (Ravelry link)! I'm now in the round (yay to no more purled colourwork!) It is a fun pattern to knit and I like the rhythm of the 4 row gingham pattern, and the progress you can see with this. I'm using the two handed colourwork knitting technique, and ladderback jacquard.

The design is by cmknits, and I'm going to be knitting the small strawberry motif on the sleeves, and making half sleeves of course(!).

There's blueberries and lemons to choose from too, or you could also chart your favourite fruit, or, use a motif from the Knitovation book to add to the sleeves!

Good news too, Anchor Bay (the yarn I'm using for this sweater) restock is here, and the backordered White is back and will be arriving next week too!
