Sunflower Crochet Granny Square: Starts Tuesday May 21st, 6:30 - 8:30pm, 2 part class.

Together we will make a Sunflower granny square, in the first class you will learn how to make the Sunflower, the second class you will work the border and learn how to join the squares together. Sign up here

 

Pressed Flowers Mosaic workshop: Saturday May 25th, 11am - 1pm. 

Would you like to learn mosaic/ slip stitch knitting and how to read a chart? Join us for a 2 hour workshop at Baaad Rabbit's and we'll get you started on the stunning Pressed Flowers Cowl by Amy Christoffers.

Beginner's Tunisian Crochet: Starts Saturday June 1st, 9:30am - 11am, 4 part class.

You will learn how chain stitch, work the Tunisian simple stitch, Tunisian Knit stitch, single crochet and apply these skills to make a dishcloth, neck warmer and/ or wristwarmer.

Rose Garden Jacket 3-D Crochet workshop: Saturday June 1st, 11:30am - 2:30pm.

In this workshop you will learn how to make the Rose Garden motif, a beautiful 3-dimensional crochet flower. You will also learn how to adjust the size of your square, and we will calculate together to ensure you make the right size of the Rose Garden Jacket for you.

Funky Squares Mosaic and Tapestry crochet workshop: Sunday June 2nd, 10am - 1pm.

Funky Squares scarf (Ravelry link) by Mette Hesselbjerg combines overlay mosaic and tapestry for this spectacular design.

In this workshop you will learn foundation single crochet, this gives you an elastic edge and is far superior to a chain start, it ensures the two edges of your scarf have the same stretch. You will learn how to read a mosaic crochet chart, work tapestry and mosaic crochet. Sign up here.

Want to learn to spin your own yarn? This 2-hour workshop will teach the basics of how to make your yarn with a drop spindle.

Batik workshop: Saturday 22nd June 12pm - 4pm *or* Sunday June 23rd, 2 - 6pm

Join us for a meditative, hands-on session to learn about the art of batik. This introductory level workshop will walk you through the basics of how to use a canting, a traditional pen-like tool used to design batik tulis or "handwritten" batik. You'll also learn about specific batik patterns and the history of how fabric can be used as a form of storytelling. Sign up here.

 

Wet felting workshop: Sunday June 15th, 10pm - 12pm

In this hands on workshop you learn how make felt fabric using wet felting technique. Choose from the wide selection of fibre in store for your felting.

You can simply cut the fabric into squares to make coasters, or with the pattern provided make a notions or crochet hook pouch. You will be provided with a template for making a notions/ crochet hook pouch. Sign up here.

Magic Circle Scarf: Starts Sunday July 7th, 1pm - 4pm, 2 part class.

Magic Circle Scarf by Janie Crowfoot is an absolute beauty! Rebecca enjoyed every moment making this scarf.

In this two part class you will learn how to confidently make the circles, semi-circles and quarters. Work the frames, and how to crochet the motifs into the frame, as well as best practices for sewing in your ends! A demo will be shown for the outside border in the last class. Sign up here.

 

Butterfly Shawl: Sunday July 7th, 9:30am - 12:30pm.

Butterfly shawl by MarinJaKnits is a stunning two colour shawl. The shaping of the butterfly is created with short rows. 

In this 3 hour workshop and using two small amounts of yarn (40m/ 44y) of contrasting colours and learn all the techniques required to make this stunning shawl and how to navigate the pattern afterwards independently. Sign up here.
