Time to get ready for Granny Square Appreciation Day!
Off Annie's hook!
We love it when you come and show us your finished makes (intentionally or otherwise!) Annie popped by this week to pick up some more yarn for a spectacular blanket she is making, and of course I spotted her Sunflower Granny Square bag she made!
Did you know, Saturday August 15th is Granny Square Appreciation day?!?! This is your notice!! If you have some Granny Squares languishing, now is the time, pull them out, get them together, ready to wear on Granny Square Day!!
I have a pair of socks to complete, just the ribbing(!) Granina socks (Ravelry link) by Marie-Eve Wedge. To be fair, I had to make 3 socks, one for the shop and two for me.
The other piece I want to make are some Granny Square Earrings (Ravelry link). I'm using a skein of Lichen & Lace embroidery floss, (available in store only) and a 1.5mm crochet hook, I ordered some specially in! All going well these will be ready to show you in next week's newsletter.
If you'd like to make something to proudly show off on Granny Square Appreciation day, we have a Ravelry Bundle for you to look through.
We also are offering the Granny Square Mix & Match learn to read charts on Saturday July 18th, which is a whole lot of fun, or, if you haven't learnt to crochet yet, we have the next Learn to Crochet class starting on Saturday August 8th!

Helen's Narwhal!
A few week's ago Helen took the Intro to Ricorumi Workshop, when she popped by to pick up some more Ricorumi, she had her adorable Narwhal with her which she started in the class.
She did such a great job, and the gold lame horn is the chef's kiss!

On our Customers needles!
We love seeing what you're making, and our Sunday Socials are a great time to check in with your progress! Sabrina is making herself a lovely Summer top, Lounge Room Raglan (Ravelry link) by Aimee Sher Makes in Bio Balance

The lovely Juanita has the stunning Flyss on her needles, she is making a Summer Vest, but yup, I forgot to ask what pattern it was!!

Sue is well and truly on the Chicken train! This is her second and third Emotional Support Chicken (Raverly link) by Annette Corsino. She's been using Anchor Bay, Anchor Bay Hand Paints, and WildWestDye Merino/cashmere/nylon DK!

And progress on Rita's Salt Water and Sea Stars Shawl (Ravelry link) by Leah Michelle Designs. To note she is knitting the two skein version. And she is also wearing her beautiful Magnolia (Ravelry link) by Camilla Vad, made with the oh so beloved, Anchor Bay!
