New yarn in store

When I opened the box of Vera, Paris Green immediately caught my eye. I opened up the bag, and when I felt the yarn I knew I *had* to make something with it!

With 50% silk, 30% Extrafine merino and 20% Superfine merino, this yarn is divine! It's an absolute pleasure to work with, it feels so lovely in your hands whilst working the stitches and whilst wearing it too!

I found the perfect top I wanted to make with it (so you know, another Summer top, even though I keep saying I'm on my last!)

Topaz Tee by Two of Wands is a quick make, and a great crochet layering piece. I really love the detail and shaping design in the shoulders.

Any DK top design would be great for this yarn, here are some more ideas:ado Top by Linda Skuja, a non holey crochet top and inspired by wild meadows and has a lovely design around the hemline.

Dorel by Alison Green, short sleeve tee with some lace detail in the yoke.

Poppy Tee by Jo Cottle (more lace yokes, yup, I'm on a bit of a lace kick!)

Off Diane's needles

Diane came to see us this week in her beautiful new top! Made with Queensland Dungarees Tweed, design is Cumulus Tee (Ravelry link) by Petiteknits.

Dungarees Tweed is a lovely fingering weight cotton yarn, spun from Recycled jeans and made in Italy.
