And whilst we're on the the subject of socks and sock yarn, we have new colours in store and online on Malabrigo's Ultimate sock yarn!

New project and kit!

Last week I came across Petiteknit's new design, Florence bag and I totally fell in love! I've *really* been wanting to make another project with the neon yellow linen yarn we have in store (because who knows when I'll see neon yellow linen again!)

Florence bag was designed to be knit with 3 strands of linen, but, I didn't really fancy that, I thought it might be a bit hard on my hands and maybe a little annoying.

Inspired by one of our customers, Pati, who recently bought Lino and Suri to make a Ranunculus (Ravelry link), instead of using three strands of linen held together as per the design, I decided to use 2 strands and lino, and one strand of mohair.

I was hoping to have the bag complete for this week's newsletter, so close but not just yet! I've sewn the bag lining and just need to insert the zipper, lining and attach the handle. I purchased the leather strap and zipper from Longsdale Leather in Vancouver.
