More classes added for June and July

Getting ready for a Brioche Bonanza.
The front display has been updated with some of our classes added for Summer!
First up, some classes for June! We have a new class, Mimic Shawl, this was the crochet version of a shawl I suggested for Local Yarn Store Day! It's a great scarf/ shawl, and a lovely first scarf project for new-to-crocheters, or those of you who need help reading a pattern! You start off making a triangle, and when it's the width you want, you continue on the extension part for the length!
It's a fun and relatively straightforward make, utilizing V stitches, moss stitch, increases/ decreases to work a dynamic bias design!

For those ready to dive a little deeper, we have another offering of Sophie's Mandala! This is a two part workshop and I've been told by many students how much they have been loving making their Sophie! The design is *very* well written and the book is an excellent resource!
We also have Tapestry Crochet and Surface Decoration with Yellow Birds, this was one of my Christmas cast-ons from last year and I loved making it! The first class you'll learn tapestry crochet, and in the second class, surface decoration.
And for our Tunisian crochet-ers we have Kite Shawl, a lovely squashy scarf where you'll learn purl stitch, increases and decreases!

Classes for July (so far!)
Wet Felting is back for Summer, all going well I'll be adding some new wet felting workshops for Summer, I've just gotta work on some samples!
As requested we're offering a Cross Stitch on Crochet workshop, not only will this get you confident with cross stitching on your crochet, we'll also discuss making the Cross Stitch Vest (Ravelry link) by Sara Dudek, and any size adjustments you'll make for your gauge! If the vest isn't your cup of tea, I've been looking on Ravelry for some more inspo!
Shirley Bird Cross stitch Purse by Louise Kendall - I love this little purse and I might just have to whip one up!
Floral Cross Stitch Tote by Yarnspirations
Cross Stitch Rose Beanie by Nicole Bencker
Summer Roses Cross Stitch top by Yellow Blue Design, this cross stitch is on a filet/ single crochet base, I might be making a swatch to see how it turns out.
Mushroom cross stitch block by Red Heart, a cute design you can use to apply to your work!
Granny Card Deck is back in July, perfect for new-to-crochet-ers, and those of you who haven't worked from a chart before. We've got to ready for Granny Square Appreciation Day in August(!) All three Card Decks are currently in stock too, you can choose from Original, Flower or Stitches!
And Summer is a perfect time to knit socks! Learning how to knits socks is a great skill builder, including how to work short rows, pick up stitches and graft!
Brioche loving!
Some new Brioche designs have been catching my eye this week, first up is Ginny Cardigan by Sous knits, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get a sample of this on my needles this Summer, so I can offer it as a new class in Fall. I also love these Seashell Legwarmers (Ravelry link) by Fanny Sommardahl which cleverly combine brioche and double knit.
So with brioche on my mind, if you'd like to dive into this beautiful technique, we have Honey Brioche Cowl starting on Tuesday at 6:30pm, where you'll learn cables in the first class, then one colour brioche in the second! And to get you prepared for some fun Fall classes, I'm offering the Brioche workshop again in July so you can learn one colour and two colour brioche.
There are *many* stunning designs in brioche, and I've been taking a look through Ravelry to save some favourties:
Little Brioche Scarf by Giulia Facchini
Brioche Lane Scarf by KnitQ
Swirly Brioche hat Heather Storta
Absalon Brioche Hat by Ladianne Henderson
Plaid Romance by Carissa Browning, this is a cool shawl that combines brioche, mosaic and garter stripes for a dynamic design.
Sylvan Tales Shawl by Julia Decker
Lizzie Sweater by Susanne Sommer
I've also made a Ravelry bundle so you can take a look at all the ones that have caught my eye so far! If there's a particular design that catches your eye that you'd like to see as a class, do let me know!
