It's getting Sparkly in here!

Paula's got her sparkles on!
Me and Paula have both had our eyes on the new Cashmere yarn from Lang, Paula beat me to the punch and cast on a Sophie Scarf (Ravelry link) by PetiteKnit.
I love the pairing she chose, Pink cashmere with Beige Make it Paillette, it just looks so rich.
She used 3mm/ US 2.5 needles and increased until she had 38 stitches before she started decreasing to make sure she didn't run out of yarn. When you're working with a set amount of yarn and you don't want to run out, we always recommend you use weighing scales to keep track of how much you've used/ how much you have left! For the Sophie Scarf you work the increases until you have just over half of the ball left, then you start the decrease section.

And I'm getting Sparkly too!
Oh yes, you know I couldn't resist casting on that top! Poppy Tee (Ravelry link) by PetiteKnit is well on it's way, it's got to the slightly tedious knit in the round part, but the sequins do make it fun, and it looks SO good!!
And yes you bet it looks better in person! I'll have it with me this weekend if you want to take a look.

Make it Flocken!
I've been having fun with our new Make it Flocken too! The little pom poms are SO cute I love them!! I paired the Red Flocken with a few different colours from Anchor Bay for my crochet swatch to see which one was my favourite, then chose Peach for the knitted swatch.
I kept the same needle size I normally use for Anchor Bay, 4mm, but I found unlike the other Add-ins, Flocken changed my gauge. I normally knit to a 22 sts gauge with Anchor Bay, but the Flocken pulled it to a 20 stitch gauge. (so you know, check your gauge!!)
I'm *really* looking forward to knitting something up, I have 2 Stockinette garments on the go at the moment, so I'm not adding a third until one of them is finished!
There's some great colours in the Flocken collection, and lots of lovely pairings to choose from, here's some from Anchor Bay below:
The black combo would be SO fabulous, and I'm really quite tempted.....

Upcoming classes and workshops!
Did you know we take requests? I've had a few people ask me for another Thrummed workshop, and the super fun Card Deck workshop, so these have now been added to our Fall line up! I've also managed to squeeze in a Learn to Crochet for December too!
The schedule is pretty much full now, I have one two hour spot on Saturday December 12th so if there's a workshop you'd like to take before Christmas, let me know!
The November Help & Assistance workshops have been scheduled and are available for sign up, these are such fun workshops (obviously they ALL are) but I enjoy the surprise of what I'll be helping people with each week!
