Brioche Knots Hat Class | Brioche & Star Stitch

This is an in person class held at Baaad Rabbits in New West.

You need to be confident in knitting & purling, previous experience in brioche helpful; either already taken the intro class at Baaad Rabbit's or have made a swatch/ beginner brioche project like Brioche Shawl.

Brioche and star stitch, cable motifs and Celtic knots all come together in this project based class. You will learn all of these techniques whilst making the gorgeous Brioche Knots Hat designed by Katrin Schubert. 

You will also learn how to add a rolled stockinette border to any hat pattern, and the alternative brioche decrease stitches!

Dates: 

• Saturday October 26th and November 9th & 23rd, 10am - 12pm.

Materials required (not included):

• Brioche Knots (Ravelry link) pattern by Katrin Schubert 
• DK weight yarn in two solids/ semi solids with high contrast. Sample uses WildWestDye's Naturally dyed soft DK, other options available in store include; Chest Knits Soft Sport, Estelle Double knit, Ella Rae Cozy Soft. 100m/ 110y/ 50g of each colour.
• 3.5mm/ US size 4 needles - 16 inch cord and DPN's or a longer cord for working the crown in magic loop.
• Four stitch markers, which includes one unique stitch marker for Beginning of round and preferable ones designed to work next to yarn overs.
• Darning Needle
• Thin strong yarn for life lines

Make up classes are not available, if you miss a session, Rebecca will do her best to get you back on track. Help & Assistance workshops are also available.

Credit for future classes or a refund minus $15 administration fee will only be provided if we are notified either by phone or email at least 3 days (72 hours) in advance of the class or workshop.

Please note - Baaad Rabbits is located in an old building with no insulation - if it is cold outside, the shop is also cold in the morning - please dress accordingly.
