Brioche Cable Hat Class | Flaming Beanie

This is an in person class held at Baaad Rabbits in New West.

You need to be confident in knitting & purling, previous experience in brioche helpful; either already taken the intro class at Baaad Rabbit's or have made a swatch.

Flaming Beanie is a fully reversible dynamic and fun bricohe cable hat design. We will take you through step by step, covering brioche in the round, working cables so they are reversible and brioche decreases. 

You will need to complete ribbing before the class starts.

Dates: 

• Thursday October 12th, 26th, and November 9th, 6:30-8:30pm - every other week.

Materials required (not included):

• Flaming Beanie pattern by Elzbieta Torenc available on Ravelry.
• DK weight yarn in two solids/ semi solids with high contrast. Sample uses WildWestDye's Naturally dyed soft DK, other options available in store include; Chester Knits Soft Sport, Estelle Double knit, Estelle Silk Harmony. Main colour: 75g/ 168m/ 183y. Contrast colour 50g/ 112m/ 122y.
• 3mm/ US size 2.5 needles for the ribbing and 3.75mm/ US size 5 for the brioche - 16 inch cord and DPN's or a longer cord for working the crown in magic loop.
• It is recommended to use interchangeable needles for the brioche so you can place a smaller size needle on the left which makes it easier on the round after the cables
• Stitch markers, which includes one unique stitch marker for Beginning of round and preferable ones designed to work next to yarn overs.
• Darning Needle
• Thin strong yarn for life lines
