CabooseWay Class | Skill builder class

You need to know how to knit and purl to take this class. 

If you are still new-ish to knitting, this is a great skill builder class.

You will learn a variety of increases & decreases, how to work a provisional cast-on with a crochet hook, how to un-do a provisional cast-on, and how to graft your stitches. This is a great design to learn how to read your knits and purls, and understand which stitch you should be working to achieve the fabric you want!

The cowl is knit on the bias (which means you are increasing at the beginning of the row and decreasing at the end of the row, but you are still just knitting!) and uses the fake i-cord edge technique.

In class one you will learn the provisional cast-on and get started on your cowl, class two you will continue with texture two and make sure you understand how to work texture three, and class three you will undo your provisional cast-on graft your two ends together and sew in your ends.

• Saturday October 3rd, 17th and November 7th 4pm - 6pm.

Materials required (not included):

• 150g of DK weight yarn, either 3 x 50g of each colour, or 150g of the same colour. If you buy 3 x 100g skeins/ balls you can make two cowls!

• 3.75mm needles 
• Crochet hook 3.75mm (3.5mm - 4mm is fine)
• Darning needle.
• Locking stitch marker to mark the right side

Make up classes are not available, if you miss a session, Rebecca will do her best to get you back on track. Help & Assistance workshops are also available.

Credit for future classes or a refund minus $15 administration fee will only be provided if we are notified either by phone or email at least 3 days (72 hours) in advance of the class or workshop.
